Effective 2026

Accessibility statement

Solarpunk Solutions is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, voice control, and other assistive technology.

Standard we follow

We design and build this site to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice in its April 2024 final rule on web accessibility for state and local government websites (28 C.F.R. Part 35), and it is the de facto benchmark for accessibility under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 12181-12189).

Current conformance status

As of the effective date above, this site substantially conformsto WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some third-party content (manufacturer PDF datasheets linked from this site, certain Google Maps embeds) may not fully conform — those are covered separately under “Third-party content” below. We re-audit this site at major releases using automated tools (axe-core, WAVE, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard + screen-reader testing.

What we've built in

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper headings and landmarks;
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators and a “skip to main content” link;
  • Color contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components);
  • Form fields with explicit labels, autocomplete hints, and clear error messages;
  • Alt text on meaningful images and aria-hidden on purely decorative elements;
  • Mobile-responsive layouts that scale to 400% zoom;
  • No autoplaying media, no flashing content, no rapid color shifts;
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion on all decorative animation;
  • Information not conveyed by color alone (we pair color with text or icon).

Third-party content

Some content linked from this site is supplied by third parties (manufacturer datasheets in PDF form, embedded satellite imagery, tariff filings). We cannot guarantee that third-party content meets WCAG 2.1 AA. If you need a manufacturer document in an accessible format, contact us and we will help you obtain one or read it to you over the phone.

Alternative ways to do business with us

If any part of this website is not accessible to you, we will provide the same services through alternative channels:

  • By phone — we will walk you through an estimate verbally;
  • By email — we will accept your bill data and roof information and email you the same estimate the website produces;
  • In person at the site visit — we will explain everything from the written quote face-to-face.
